The Power of Positive Thinking

Writter by author
December 11th, 2009

What is negative self-talk?

Well, if you are like many people, you have this constant stream of negative dialog going on in your head a lot of the time. It’s the little voice at the back of your mind that whispers things like, “You know you can’t do this.” And, unfortunately, that little voice has a lot of power. Because, if someone tells you something often enough–even if that someone is yourself–you will eventually start to believe it.

If you have tried losing weight before with little success, the little voice will say things like, “You’re going to fail this time just like last time,” and “What makes you think you’ll do any better now than you did before?” And these little whispers can create doubts that can drain your enthusiasm, and make it harder for you to stick to your exercise goals.

So what can you do? Take away some of that little voices power. Start paying attention to your thoughts. And, the next time you find yourself having negative thoughts, put a stop to them. Or, better yet, replace them with positive thoughts, like, “I know I can do this if I put my mind to it.”

Replace that negative little voice with a positive one. When you tell yourself often enough that you can succeed, you will start to believe it.

Why would you choose an exercise program that is not exciting?

Choosing an exercise program that is not exciting

It is fascinating to me why people continue to do the boring workouts and then use it as an excuse as to why their weight loss efforts failed.  I have seen people running/walking on the same boring thread mill day after day.  I have seen people running around and around on a track like a dog chasing a bone day after day.   How boring must that be?  Well, we are all different and have different preferences when it comes to what activities we enjoy.

I prefer more enjoyable workouts like P90X, and Chalean Extreme.  When I feel like dancing Turbo Jam or Hip Hop Abs will fit the bill instead of running around like a chicken with my head cut off  (haha).

Choose an exercise plan that includes a variety of workouts with your favorite activity combined.

If you like and enjoy what you’re doing day in and day out add a little spice to your routine, you’ll be much more likely to stay on your fitness journey and have much success for your efforts.

Strategies to overcome fear of social eating

Writter by author
December 11th, 2009

Some strategies to overcome the fear involved with social eating may include:

  • Creating your own traditions or bringing a dish to add to the mix.
  • Giving some thought to the belief patterns about foods and eating that you inherited from your family and decide whether these are still valid for you.
  • Creating new belief patterns and enforce them with your new way of eating.
  • Creating a community of individuals with like-minded thoughts about eating to get together on a regular basis to share a meal.

MLM Prospecting Tips – Finding the Truly Interested Who Will Take Action

Writter by author
December 11th, 2009

When prospects are looking at any business opportunity, they will assess it based upon what they feel comfortable with and with which company they have the best chance at success.

Any MLM business will first start by looking for prospects. Building a downline can only happen when you have identified prospects. The question is how will you identify these prospects? There are many different ways to do this such as buying a phone list of business opportunity seekers, asking family and friends to join the business, or to talk with people at places you regularly visit such as a coffee shop. These are often methods that are not highly effective in building interested prospects.

The approach that can work very effectively for you is attraction marketing. This is simply a type of marketing where you work on attracting prospects to your website. You do not have to worry about selling but rather about getting people to visit your website and to give them information so they will buy from you. It is very important with attraction marketing that you have a deep well of knowledge about your product and industry. When people come to your website or to you, it is important that you are able to provide the information they are looking for. This can start building a bond so that they will eventually buy from you.

Attraction marketing is the simplest method of marketing you can do with your MLM business. It is not a quick solution to building a business but sets you up with the ability to consistently bring in new prospects and customers by following these same steps on a regular basis. With your knowledge, you are working on solving your customers’ problems. Instead of being a pushy salesman, you position yourself as a trusted advisor to your customers. They will welcome your advice when you portray this message both in words and in action.

One of the best MLM prospecting tips is that you must be the face of the business. People often will not sign up for a business without having an idea that someone can help them. This is where you need to put yourself forward as a good resource for anyone who may want to join your downline. When you are doing attraction marketing, one way to leverage this powerful resource is to combine it with social networking. This is the way business has begun to move both currently and into the future. It is a way to interact with your customers. People are not happy with simply reading websites for information. They want to be able to interact with business persons and with products and services. With social networking, you interact with your customers in different ways on the Internet. You can post regularly to forums your customers visit. You can keep a blog that you regularly post on. Follow up on comments by your readers. Post on your customers’ blogs. Offer a free webinar to explain a solution to common customers’ problems.

These are two very important prospecting tips for your MLM business. The business becomes easiest when you work on bringing the people to you. This shows their interest in what you have to offer. It is then your job to understand what they are looking for and to provide it. You can do all this through social networking and be sure to use different ways to interact with them. This can ensure that your MLM business has a great deal of success.

Miso Soup with Shrimp and Broccoli

Writter by author
December 11th, 2009

Serves 4

Miso is made from fermenting soybeans, barley and rice and is available in white, yellow, red and brown. Generally, the darker the miso the longer it has fermented and the more complex its flavor will be. Look for miso in the refrigerated section near meat substitutes and dairy products.

Ingredients

6 cups vegetable or low-sodium chicken broth
1/4 pound dried udon or somen noodles
1/2 pound frozen peeled and deveined shrimp, uncooked
1/2 pound (about 2 1/2 cups) frozen broccoli florets
1/4 cup water
2 tablespoons white or mellow miso, plus more to taste
2 teaspoons freshly grated ginger
1/3 cup thinly sliced green onions
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Method

In a large pot, bring broth to a boil. Submerge noodles in broth, arranging them across the bottom of the pot, cover and simmer until noodles are somewhat tender, 4 to 5 minutes. Scatter shrimp and broccoli over noodles, cover and simmer until shrimp are just cooked through, broccoli is bright green and noodles are tender, 4 to 5 minutes more. Meanwhile, whisk together water, miso and ginger in a medium bowl until smooth; set aside.

Turn off heat and uncover pot. Stir in miso mixture and green onions then transfer soup to bowls. Garnish with pepper flakes and serve.

You Can Do More With The Right Support

Writter by author
December 11th, 2009

xbx-31Here’s a thing – how do you actually think about dieting, losing weight or getting fit?  Do you think of all these things as solo activities?

Many people do.  ‘This will be the week when I start losing weight,’ they think.  Or maybe, ‘I’m going to start doing some exercise tomorrow so I can get fitter.’

Sounds familiar?  Of course it does.  And you should set your own goals and be in this just for you.  After all, no one decides that someone they know should lose weight!  We have to make our own decisions, right?

But just because you decide for yourself, that doesn’t mean you have to go it alone when you get started on your weight loss journey.  The same applies if you are just getting started on a new exercise plan.  The more support you have, the more likely it is that you are going to succeed – both for the long and the short term.

This is why so many people at Team Beachbody are finally getting close to the beach body they really want.  There is a network in place here that means you can get in touch with other members who are going for the same goals as you.  The amount of weight you want to lose might be different, and you might enjoy different exercises, but we’re all going for the same end goal – and that’s our ideal body.

The benefits of having a like minded community around you are really noticeable once you get started.  If you’re feeling low one morning and you think it could be a tough day ahead on your personalized meal plan, simply hop online and get in touch with your buddies.  You can bet that everyone has those types of days now and again, and you can get support from someone who has already been there and got through it successfully.

You have your own coach too, of course.  Support is something that everyone at Team Beachbody really believes in.  Because if you have the right amount of support when you need it, you are far more likely to succeed.

So think about how that support could make a real difference to your goals.  Think about how much easier you might find things.  And find out more about how Team Beachbody can help you get there. Click the link below and Join the Club for Free.
